Marion is British and grew up in Hong Kong. She studied languages at university in the UK and then moved back to Hong Kong after completing a postgraduate in education, where she worked as a high school teacher for several years.

After marrying another Hong Kong expat and having their first daughter, in 2002, her family moved to the Bay Area. There, they had 2 more children, and have stayed ever since. What with parenting 3 children, volunteering at their school (Sacred Heart), and in various other ways in the community, Marion never went back into school teaching, but still cherishes the opportunity to be around young people whenever possible.

Marion attended Mornings, Afternoons, Teas, and Evenings in the Meadow with her 3 children, Anna, Luca, and Olivia. She served at one time as co-chair of the Meadow Makers moms’ group, was on the Board for several years, and also attended Faithful Families, Heart Voices, and the Changemakers groups. Some of her best friends today were made in her first Mornings in the Meadow class with Anna back in 2004. It’s been several years since Marion came to CFI, but she is delighted to return and looks forward very much to sharing, connecting with, and learning from others about the sacred and sometimes difficult journey of parenting and life!

Favorite Family Tradition

It always centers around food! My husband and I have a deep love for Italian and Asian cuisines, and I love to cook. Whether it’s birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, or just mealtimes during vacations when we are all together, we love to prepare our favourite family meals and eat together and with friends.
