Melissa grew up in Sacramento and came to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley. After graduating from Berkeley with an Economics degree, she married Dan, her college sweetheart, and moved to Germany while he attended Grad School. Melissa worked in the accounting department at the US Military Base in Munich and continued in the accounting field upon return to the US. Melissa and Dan have 3 grown children who are each busy with their careers and lives. Melissa is also a grandmother of two and loves every minute of it. She has participated in our Grandmas in the Meadow program and our CFI Board of Directors. She is an important asset to CFI as she helps our back office run smoothly and is warm and approachable when our families have questions about program fees or donations.

Melissa grew up in a tight-knit family and has continued this way with her family as it grows. Continuing with family get-togethers and traditions is a highlight in her life.
