CHANGE MAKERS

10 to 15 year olds

Change Makers is a service-learning program dedicated to encouraging middle schoolers and their mothers to give from the inside out, helping them to discover that their own gifts can help to change the world. Learning about the various needs of the community and working together through different service projects brings middle schoolers and moms closer together, enhancing their communication and relationship.

Our Service-Learning program is community service with intentional learning. Reflect on why you should give back, connect for a purpose, and act to promote social change. Have a Heart: Be a Change Maker!

Change Makers meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon from October through May. We commit to meaningful service projects that are engaging, relevant, and based on community needs such as homelessness, the elderly, the environment, hunger, animals, children and random-acts-of-kindness. We learn about the issues surrounding these community projects, enjoy the opportunity to show compassion, and feel empowered with the skills and confidence to support those in need.

The human spirit is not measured by the size of the act, but by the size of the heart.
Never underestimate the power of a few committed people to change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
